Happy Saturday friends! I hope you had a lovely week! Currently my daughters are playing out in the front yard (it is actually sunny out…cold, but sunny!). I am watching them as I type. I am trying to catch a tiny moment to write this blog post before we are off and running…doing art activities, playing dolls, etc. The time with them now when they are young is super precious and sweet. I am trying to savor it before they get too old and don’t want to hang out with me anymore!

Things I am loving

Anyways, today I have been just enjoying the sunshine and reflecting on what is really inspiring me right now and trying to appreciate all of the good things. I wanted to share some items that are really making me happy right now because maybe they might make you joyful also.

Fun Coffee Table Books

So one thing that is really inspiring me are coffee table books. I recently received Hydrangeas by Naomi Slade and photographed by Georgianna Lane and I am in love. It really is a beautiful coffee table book that brings me joy and looks so pretty on my coffee table. If you are a hydrangeas lover I suggest you check it out!. It has so many gorgeous pictures of many different types of hydrangeas. As a painter of hydrangeas, this was a must have for me. Endless inspiration!

Blue and White Decor

Another thing that is making me happy is the color scheme blue and white. If you know me and follow me on instagram you know that my love of blue and white runs deep. I have been obsessed with decorating with blue and white stripes and patterns for years but for some reason lately it has been even more evident in my style. I try not to go overboard and have mostly neutrals in my home with pops of blue but I noticed today my living room has a lot of blue and white going on. And guess what…I don’t care. I love it so much and it makes me so happy. It makes me feel like I am always at our lake house.

Warm + Cozy Candle

As I am sitting here typing this post I have the best candle lit. It is a perfect winter candle called Warm + Cozy by Sweet Water Decor. I bought it from a cute online shop called House and Holm and it has made my house smell amazing without that crazy, too strong scent sometimes candles get. Also what I love about this candle
is that it is made with essential oils and no harmful chemicals. So important!

Finally I wanted to share some artwork with you that is making me feel all of the warm summer vibes and that are my little shelfie pieces found on Dresstheroom. These are great pieces to add to a book shelf or open shelf and just add a pop of color and coastal feel to a space. They are 6 x 6 inches and are on a gallery wrap canvas.
