Modern Coastal Paintings To Make You Feel Like You Live on the Water

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. Thanksgiving and Christmas were busy for me but wonderful to catch up with family and friends. I love this time of year but am also ready to have life slow down a little bit and have some time to reflect and get organized. The past couple of years I have actually started to enjoy January because I love the idea of a refresh and creating new goals for the year. What are your thoughts on the new year? Do you feel like it is a great time to start again or do you treat it like any other month? I would love to know in the comments.

One of my goals for 2024 is to continue creating art that brings serenity and peace and the feeling that you are on the water even if you are not even close. Here are some of my favorite paintings I have completed recently that I feel give that coastal vibe. Some of these are available and some were commissions. If you are interested in your own coastal painting I am accepting commissions starting in April 2024. Thanks!

A coastal painting in my daughter’s room. This is a view of our favorite place on the island where we have our lake house. Looking at this painting brings me back to being on the island.

“Sag Harbor Sail Boats” a large commission I created for a lovely client for their Sag Harbor home.

A large blue hydrangeas and sailboat scene for a lovely client.
