White Orchid Original Art Series
Happy January everyone! I hope everyone had a lovely holiday season. I cannot believe we are at the beginning of 2025! We had a very busy December filled with family birthdays and of course Christmas and New Year’s Eve. I had a nice winter school break and start back with students tomorrow! Hoping it is a great week going back:)
I wanted to share with you a fun new series I am working on with the gallery Dress The Room Charleston. I am working on a series of 5 x 7 white orchid original acrylic paintings inspired by a beautiful white orchid I purchased to help me get through the cold, gray winter months of Ohio. I was so inspired by it, that I decided to paint multiple white orchids. After doing some research on Google, I discovered white orchids symbolize purity, elegance and grace. They are also linked to peace and in Feng Shui, orchids are believed to attract good luck and positive energy! What is not to like about any of that?!
These orchid paintings will come matted and possibly framed in gold! They will be heading to Dress the Room on January 25, 2025. Let me know what you think!
Here is my muse for the Orchid series. I thought it was such an elegant and lovely plant. It is currently helping me get through the gray and cold Ohio winter. I bought it at our local Kroger store.
Here is White Orchid 1. I love that orchids convey peace and harmony. My goal as an artist is to create paintings that make you feel serene and joyful. I feel the symbolism of the orchids really align with my goals as an artist.
