Coastal Christmas Decor
Hello friends! Happy Saturday! I hope you had a lovely week. Today I am talking about my recent sailboat painting release on Dresstheroom and how you can incorporate these nautical paintings into your festive holiday decor. I believe you should decorate with everything that makes you happy and gives you joy. I am hoping these new paintings will bring peace and tranquility to you this holiday season!
Blue and White Christmas Decor
I used to think Christmas had to always be the traditional red and green. I love those colors but the last two years I have decorated mostly with white and creams and fresh greenery. This year I am loving the combo of blue and white mixed with these festive colors. My goal is to make my house reflect my personal coastal style and also so that I can keep my holiday decor up past Christmas and into January and even February! Usually once January hits I am ready for summer! In Ohio where I live it gets very cold in the winter. Summertime cannot come fast enough! How about you?
Incorporating the blue and white through artwork, pillows, ginger jars, etc can help tie the two seasons together. I know it sounds strange but I really do love mixing the two seasons together. It is a great way to merge my favorite things together…and isn’t that what decorating is all about?!
Chinoiserie Christmas Vibes
You all might have noticed that my love for chinoiserie runs deep! I am loving how these pieces have become a staple in my year-round decor. To incorporate these pieces I place my blue and white ginger jars next to greenery on the mantle or on a book shelf. I enjoy the look of blue and white with a splash of Christmas-y red through pillows, or flowers. Adding twinkle lights is also a quick way to add some holiday vibes. Small gallery wrap canvases are also great ways to decorate with. Here you can see them in a cute rattan tray or styled in a fun shelf with holiday decor.
Decorating with blue and white coastal pieces can bring a lot of fun to your holiday decor. I am loving incorporating my favorite combos into traditional holiday decor this year. I would love to hear if you are doing the same in the comments! Have a wonderful weekend!
